Resumo

In the semi-arid region one of the huge problems is the high temperatures practically the whole year and the population suffers with the thermal sensations in their houses. With this in mind, a number of studies are underway to reduce the temperature between outdoor (outside the home) and indoor (indoors) environments, and are ecologically sustainable. In this context, the present study partially replaced Portland cement by the red ceramic residue (CVR) with the objective of investigating the thermal performance of cement slabs in the most used mortar trace in the region, in determined percentages of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30%. For thermal analysis, a prototype of wood was used, where one part is closed and the other open, in which there are 3 lamps simulating the solar emission on the plates, analyzing the thermal insulation between the external environment and the internal environment of a building. The results showed that the reference plate (0%) was the one with the worst performance, and the 20% CVR plate obtained the best thermal performance.
