Caracterização mecânica e microestrutural de ligas Cu-Al-Mn passíveis do efeito memória de forma envelhecidas

Resumo

The alloys Cu- 82.75% -Al- 9.75% - Mn- 8.1% and Cu- 81.55% - Al- 9.75% - Mn- 8.1% - Ti- 0.5% - B- 0,1% (% by weight) were prepared without the use of protective atmos-phere. After the alloys were elaborated, they were homogenized and tempered to activate the shape memory effect. At the end of this process, the alloys were aged. The influence of the aging time on the samples was studied by characterization by optical microscopy and Brinell hardness test. The obtained results allowed to conclude that the two tempered alloys had a martensitic structure and, when subjected to aging, there was a reduction in the amount of martensite present in the grain, besides a remarkable increase in the hardness of the alloys.
