Resumo

This study deals with the (re) creation of a Game Design document and development of games aimed at elementary school children I and II (5th and 6th grade) in a private school in Angicos / RN. The document consists of an adaptation of the short game design document (SGDD), which seeks to promote the teaching of mathematics in a collaborative and contextualized way, highlighting the importance of this practice in the teaching-learning process in the digital age. Having as main theoretical basis, about the contextualization and use of games, the authors Paulo Freire, Motta and Junior (SBGAMES, 2013) as well as official learning documents such as the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) [Common National Curriculum Base] and the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs) [National Curriculum Parameters]. It was found that, as benefits for school practice, the development of games enables a more meaningful teaching that promotes interdisciplinarity and autonomy, as well as the rapprochement between teacher and student. The research highlights the importance of educational games for this context as a way to minimize learning difficulties.
