Resumo

The pollution of surface water through sewers released or accumulation of organic matter from the most different multiple uses intensifies. The ability of a water body has this debug organic load is of utmost importance to maintain the balance of these waters as well as the aquatic life. Thus, the main objective of this work was to analyze by means of a mathematical simulation, the depletion curve of oxygen as well as the ability of self-depuration reservoir basin Santa Cruz do Apodi, more precisely in the upper and middle course, which extends from its source in the municipality of Luiz Garcia, to the barrier of Santa Cruz in Apodi. Was used at work the model of Streeter Phelps to assesses ability to self-depuration the river Apodi/Mossoró. In the first campaign, after 1.6 km to 5 km the ODC increases and remains constant for the rest of the way, meaning that the organic load was debugged during this distance and that your critical deficit decreased, soon your BOD also decreases. In the second campaign that shows the depletion curves and oxygen, the oxygen of all critical points of the collection remained above the minimum value permitted by CONAMA 357/2005, soon the amount OD was enough to debug the organic load, and the deficit was minimal. In the third campaign for the water body at this point come to autodepurar and return the minimum conditions of ODC, would need a distance of 5.2 km, the distance from point 4 to the other point is if 3 km i.e. couldn't debug the whole load orgânic What is there.
