Resumo

Good use of technology for education becomes a very viable alternative in the improvement of teaching methods. In a world where information is exchanged at high speed, learning - teaching processes also demand quickly and efficiencce. One of the options to ensure these requirements in education modernization is the use of virtual reality tools, such as simulators, adding factors immersion and interactivity in the student learning process. Combine these benefits to the context of wind energy education, which has been disseminated every year in the country and mainly in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, makes the consolidation of this highly relevant technology. Thus, this work deals with the construction of a 3D simulation tool on a free platform that will bring in its structure the key concepts inherent in wind energy portrayed in an interactive and immersive way to the user. The simulator, 5 different modules, in which will be allowed the analysis of thematics of power control and its strategies; energy annual production and grid connection. In the simulator, the user may move in an environment similar to the wind farm and know its structure, as well as options such as choose the power of the incident wind, view the control of the execution of the blades and monitor the power generated according to your decisions, beyond others The simulator was developed on the Unity 3D software, which is originally developed for creating games, but in this work were used all the graphics and interactivity available for educational purposes on the subject of acquisition and energy use through the winds
