Abstract
This paper presents a study on Inclusive Education. Take as a reference the experience of a child with visual impairment, from the Municipality of Baraúna - RN. Regarding the objectives of the study, we highlighted the overall objective of "reflecting on the teaching and learning process of a visually impaired child". With regard to specific objectives, we emphasize: (a) to describe the teaching and learning process, in the context of Inclusive Education, of a child with visual impairment; (b) think about the development of the visually impaired child in their different environments of life and social interaction. In methodological parameters, the research was constructed by validating the qualitative approach. In addition, it constituted as a field research. As a technique for data construction, we used participant observation. In other words, we carried out the monitoring, through the participant observation, of the child in the school where he is a regular student (in the Municipality of Baraúna - RN), in the Center for Assistance to the Visually Impaired - CADV, in the city of Mossoró - RN, and in the family environment. The data production has a reference year 2019. From the records produced, based on the educational literature, we consider that the process of teaching and learning of the visually impaired child needs to validate the specificity of the subject. The family-school relationship is fundamental to the child's learning. In the same way, we reinforce the importance of Specialized Educational Assistance (EEE) as a tool that assists in the full development of the visually impaired child.
