Abstract
The concrete blocks comes winning space in the current civil construction being widely used for composition of structural and seal masonry. Such fact must to versatility of these materials, with several sizes, functions, and still to agility provided to construction work. Although of the unit cost of this material still be a little higher to conventional ceramic blocks, these generating economy to construction work due to reduction of the quantity of material for coated it, and yet the low steel consumption, concrete, forms, and labor when compared to conventional structural systems. Although of the great acceptance of this material some problems about quality of the same still are frequent, oftentimes due to lack of information of manufacturers about the concrete dosing that composes the blocks. The objective of the present study is then formulate a methodology of dosing for concrete blocks, in order to get the ideal trace for the confection of the blocks, to which it characterize for a greater compressive strength, better cohesion of the mixture and proper texture to its utilization, attending to normative prescriptions. The methods performed to achieve the objective proposed was initially to select aggregates available in the region, compose mixture between the aggregates in order to provide mixtures with different fineness modulus, posteriorly with the addition of the cement in different proportions to evaluate the quantity of ideal water for each trace, the cohesion of the mixtures and the resistance of the concretes by means of cylindrical proof bodies and molded concrete blocks in factories and still to final texture of the blocks. The analyzes carried out led to tables and graphs that correlate parameters influencing the quality of the blocks, such as modulus of fineness and resistance, humidity and resistance, cement consumption and resistance, besides the formulation of tables that help the dosing of concrete for blocks in the factory, which showed a tendency of greater resistance for blocks with a mixture between aggregates of greater modulus of fineness, higher consumption of cement and greater humidity.
