Abstract
One of the principal difficulties in the control of caseous lymphadenitis (CLA) is the accomplishment of the accurate diagnosis since the sacrifice of positive animals is recommended. Thus, the development and improvement of the CLA diagnoses ought to be a constant. This paper aims to conduct a scientific and technological prospection in diagnosis for caseous lymphadenitis. For the technological mapping, a search for patents was executed in the Questel Orbit Intelligence software and in the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), to verify the international and national scopes, respectively. The scientific prospection was fulfilled at the Scopus base (Elsevier) through remote access via CAFe (Federated Academic Community). The searches were performed by combining the descriptors: “Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis” or “caseous limphadenitis” and “diagnos* or detection”, using the Portuguese translations of the terms for the national database. In the pursuit for patents in the Orbit software, 12 families of patents were found, of which only 6 families were still in force. Brazil and China were the main deposit countries. In Brazil, the emphasis goes to the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), both with 3 families of patents. 50% of patents were indirect ELISA, 17% PCR, 17% bacteriological and serological. The results of scientific prospection revealed 121 results after analyzed. The years 2012 and 2020 were the years with the most publications, both with 8 documents. The countries that publish the most are Brazil, followed by the United States and Egypt
