Abstract
The use of Wetlands (W) is an opportunity to mitigate negative environmental impacts and to produce reuse water under conditions conducive to activities that require higher quality. The present work of conclusion has as general objective the implementation of a system W applied to the post-treatment of effluent of a Sewage Treatment Station of a university community, distinguishing the different modalities of flooding systems, studying the feasibility of implementation and performing the the chosen configuration. For the accomplishment of this work a bibliographical research was developed from national publications. From this, it was possible to project a W following the eleven steps that the manual of the National Health Foundation (FUNASA) indicates accompany. It was verified that the configuration chosen is feasible for implementation, based on existing criteria and the need to improve treated sewage. The design allows for proposals for future research that will demonstrate the real positive, economic and socio-environmental impacts that a wetland system can provide to the population and the environment.
