Economia circular: uma revisão bibliográfica sobre conceitos e áreas de aplicação

n the 1980s, the “digital age” began. Since then, consumption of raw materials and waste generation have increased significantly, which could compromise the planet's capacity. With this comes the concept of Circular Economy as something innovative for implementing a new form of production process. He proposes structural changes in the linear system, which already has its practices consolidated in most countries and are defined as “closed loop”. Despite what Circular Economy proposes, this concept is still little discussed in the literature and, consequently, little applied in companies all over the world, since there is still not much knowledge about the subject. Therefore, the present work aims to review the literature on the subject, showing the relevant concepts, verifying the current fields of activity and which areas where this type of model can be applied, and showing how the dissemination of the subject is progressing. in the literature today. Using the "Web of Science" database, graphs were created that show how the production of works on the topic is progressing, checking the main areas with publications, the number of articles produced over the years, the journals and affiliations with more publications. In the literature review, it was possible to verify that the production on the subject has been growing over the years, that the practice can be applied in various areas such as industry, civil construction, agronomy, including the government sphere, and that there are few examples practical application
