Structures of reinforced concrete, as well as any type of structure, are not totally immune to the exposure of agents causing anomalies, whether from the environment or from the man himself. In view of the above, this work had as objective to analyze the main pathologies found in reinforced concrete, specifically in special works of art, the bridges. In this analysis, we sought to ascertain the source of these anomalies, as well as the great consequences that can cause to the size of the analyzed structures, verifying the main techniques used in the work to rehabilitate these problems, relating the importance of maintenance to support the binomial safety / economy. Through the data obtained, through bibliographies, articles, periodicals and other means of access for the analysis and construction of this work, It was noticed that in most cases the problems that appear in the works are caused by the negligence of the governmental organs in guaranteeing the durability of these works, by deficits of maintenances or routine interventions. Therefore, it is necessary that agencies responsible for works of this size, such as the DNIT, together with government agencies, seek to identify the causes of these problems, as well as to solve them, so that public works can be characterized by good conditions, ensuring the physical integrity of those who use them.
