Resumo

Automation can be defined as a system in which, using computational and / or mechanical techniques, it optimizes the productive processes. For example, in the automotive industry, one of the most automated there is, employees drive everything from computers to distance. Another feature of these systems is the amount of information in digital form. The simulations, prototypes, architecture of a product, all this is done digitally. This allowed us to correct errors even before the product was created, behind specific software, in addition to reducing production time. In Brazil, the process of automation started late (20th century), thus the country is one of the most backward in relation to industrial and residential automation. For the agricultural sector, the development of automation technology is still at an embryonic stage in certain regions of the country, in addition to the existing paradox, since there are thousands of jobs to be filled in the field in the most varied segments. Combining the concept of automation with the shortage of labor in the rural area, the conception of this work emerged, which proposes a project, through simulations, to automate the feeding of cattle ranch on a farm by means of a carton programmed to perform the distribution at desired times through the timer. For automation control, the micro controller PIC16F628A was used, a load cell to measure the mass of the food that will be placed in each carriage and a photosensor to indicate the stop in the place. The simulations were performed using Proteus software, obtaining satisfactory results.
