Constructive evolution has always been characterized by human development, so it soon became necessary to work with the different types of soils, after all it is the soil that gives support to all constructive requests. The main objective of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of soil compaction processes in two works in the city of Pau dos Ferros / RN. Thus, in situ and laboratory tests were used to collect soil physical indexes, such as the Sandbox Method and the Proctor Normal Assay. It was noticed that, in general, the works studied presented unsatisfactory results from a point of view on the Degree of Compaction, considering that they were, on average, 20.8% below the values imposed by the Technical Norms, the construction processes or equipment used are insufficient. In this way, it is perceived the necessity of a better computerization as to the importance of the compaction processes, besides a better applicability of the techniques and materials.
