Resumo

The research brought around the data collection about of the construction of a low-cost CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) milling machine. This machine is used to do the job of milling, which streamlines the manufacturing process, increases the quality of the product and has an excellent performance and a refined finish. The purpose of this study is to make this type of technology a more accessible product to those interested in its handling. This study aimed to identify the main components of a CNC machine, selecting the materials that possibly have the lowest cost that can be implemented in the process of construction of the machine, as well as the reuse of materials. The research was based on showing tools used in low-cost CNC milling machine, a survey of values of the parts to be acquired for the construction of the machine was performed, and the selection of materials that will be reused was done. This study was carried out in the city of Pau dos Ferros / RN, where UFERSA, Campus of the Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido is located, where we attended the graduation in Science and Technology, and during the course we've had the opportunity to integrate the AAMEG project, in which the culmination of the project is the construction of a low-cost CNC milling machine. The results of this reseach were constructed from the studies conducted on the parts, values and materials that can be reused. The conclusions point to the real possibility of building a low-cost CNC milling machine, the costs with each part were explained, the materials that were reused were showed, comparisons with other machines constructed with the same intention were done, It could be noticed that the results were satisfactory. Therefore, it was proved, through the survey of the price and the selection of materials to be reused, the reduction of the value that will be spent in a CNC milling machine. It was shown that in spite of the high cost of this technology, it is possible to reduce it’s high value through research and reuse of materials from other peripherals.
