The companies are formed initially with the purpose of obtaining the profit, to reach this objective was inserted the environmental variables in the business decisions. The present research has as main objective to carry out a socioeconomic and environmental diagnosis in the means of lodging of the municipality of Pau dos Ferros-RN. As methodological procedures an exploratory analysis was performed, being a qualitative and quantitative part with the application of questionnaires in 05 (five) means of lodging in the mentioned municipality, through the application of semi-structured questionnaires. The results showed that all the investigations are small. It was also observed that the analyzed means of lodging present deficiencies related to the consumption of water, electric energy, in the management of solid residues and liquid effluents. Therefore, it is pointed out as environmental management actions to mitigate the said problem: to elaborate a system of reutilization of water; Adoption of faucets and showers with flow reducers, toilets with low water consumption; Use bulbs with low power consumption; Use natural lighting and ventilation elements; Management of solid waste and liquid effluents; Carry out selective garbage collection; Apply training to employees; Treatment of solid waste and liquid effluents; And implement an Environmental Management System.
