Análise da mobilidade urbana em cidade de pequeno porte – estudo de caso: região que liga o centro ás principais ruas da cidade de Caraúbas – RN

Nowadays, with the advancement of cities, there is a need for planning to ensure sustainability, and thinking about the movement of people to the development of large centers. In order to propose an urban mobility plan it is necessary to have a preliminary study of the current situation of the region where it will be carried out. This study should contain characteristics of the population with the means of transport and their socioeconomic characteristics. The central regions tend to contain greater transport flows, since these are commercialization regions. When there is no urban mobility planning, there is a risk to transport users who move in this particular region, besides the pedestrians that circulate in these regions. Therefore, the present work sought to develop the proposal of an urban mobility plan linking the center to the main streets of access to other neighborhoods in the city of Caraúbas-RN, through the use of software and data acquisition, 2010 demographic census, conducted by the IBGE together with a research project of UFERSA Caraúbas, carried out in 2018. In view of the results, it was observed that the central region is the most populous and with greater flow of travel, but does not have adequate mobility or signalization, future problems
