| dc.description.abstract2 | The increasing global energy consumption has driven the search for alternative energy sources that are renewable, clean, and environmentally responsible. In this context, ther- moelectric modules stand out as devices based on the Seebeck effect, capable of directly converting temperature gradients into electrical energy. Their main advantages include the absence of moving parts, eliminating friction and noise, and they do not produce polluting residues, making them highly promising for low-power applications. This work presents an experimental analysis of the energy generation potential through the Seebeck effect, investigating how temperature variation influences conversion efficiency. Conver- sely, the Peltier effect is also analyzed, which converts electrical energy into a temperature difference, employed here in the construction of a functional thermoelectric wine cellar prototype. Finally, the study discusses the physical principles behind the Seebeck and Peltier effects, their practical applications, technological limitations, and the main bar- riers to their widespread use, aiming to identify opportunities to optimize and expand thermoelectric technologies as alternative energy sources. | |
