Abstract

With the arrival of the coronavirus in Brazil, companies from the most diverse sectors needed to adapt, so that they could offer their employees basic sanitary conditions in accordance with what was suggested by the World Health Organization (WHO), and at construction sites they did not it was different. This work aims to study the main measures to control the spread and challenges of civil construction in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic at a construction site in Mossoró-RN. A case study was carried out through a theoretical study bringing together good practices for controlling the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, based on the booklet of measures to prevent covid-19 in works by the Organização Pan-Americana de Saúde (OPAS). A questionnaire was applied at the construction site of a single-family residence in a condominium of houses in Mossoró with seven workers and the construction supervisor, in order to understand their attitude inside and outside the construction site during the COVID- 19 pandemic period. After the application of the questionnaires, an analysis of the answers was carried out, and then adaptations of the construction site to the pandemic period could be suggested. It will be up to the company, if any improvement is suggested, which ones to accept for the work studied, and which ones will be registered. The results of the survey carried out with the workers and the manager of the work under study show that there is a need for greater adaptation of the control measures to COVID-19 suggested by OPAS (2020)
