Proposta de modelo de sistema de gestao ambiental (sga): estudo de caso em uma oficina mecânica em Mossoró-RN

More and more companies are aiming for the use of tools that enable sustainable development. Given this the need arose to implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) which has become synonymous with the adoption of a series of administrative and operational actions that seek to mitigate the negative effects caused to the environment which aims to implement a continuous improvement program, consisting of stages. Thus this study aims to propose an Environmental Management System (EMS) model for the environmental regularization and adaptation of a mechanical workshop located in the municipality of Mossoró RN. As for the approach the research fits as qualitative and quantitative as the purpose is characterized as descriptive and exploratory as the technical procedures as case study and as the nature of the results as applied. With the results obtained it was possible to conclude that the activities carried out in the mechanical workshop that had the greatest significance regarding the negative environmental impacts caused to the environment were those involving the manipulation of lubricating oil or other chemicals, the packaging and storage of waste and the disposal of oil contaminated effluent.
