Resumo

Electrical energy is indispensable for human development, being a fundamental resource for the modern world, since it is associated with all the sectors that mobilize the economy of a country. However, its manipulation of electrical energy requires care to maintain its proper use in order to prevent disturbances that can impair the activities that need it. One of the great problems faced in the electrical systems is the anomalies in the indicators of Electric Power Quality, which can be associated with transient voltage variations, presence of noise in the power grid, frequency variations and presence of harmonics. The present work proposes to evaluate some indicators of Quality of Electric Energy in the block of laboratories II of the Federal University of the Semi-Arid, campus Caraúbas, since the building contains a considerable amount of machines and equipment that demand a lot of electric energy. The evaluation methodology was carried out by reading data collected from an energy analyzer installed in the general distribution board, which were compared with the limits established for the Electric Energy Quality indicators present in module 8 of the National Agency of Electric Power. Four indicators were evaluated: harmonic distortions, frequency variation, steady-state voltage, and voltage unbalance. The obtained results were very satisfactory, indicating that no anomaly, for the indicators evaluated, was detected.
