Resumo

In the search for materials that have a lower thermal conductivity, and thus have a lower rate of heat transfer to the environment, it is necessary to incorporate porous materials that alter the thermal properties of the material. As a solution, the use of cement mortars for coating is presented, where the addition of cork granulate has been incorporated in order to obtain a lighter mortar and, consequently, a thermal mortar in relation to the material without addition. In this work, qualitative evaluations were performed - thermal and mechanical of said mortar in different concentrations of cork. It was verified that the increase in the percentage of cork reduced the values of specific mass with consequent reduction of the speed of propagation and dynamic modulus of elasticity. As for the mechanical tests, the values of tensile strength by flexion and a variation of the values of resistance to compression were reduced. In the thermal performance tests it was verified that the higher temperatures were obtained in the plates with a lower proportion of cork, besides the differences observed in the time required for the coating to reach the thermal equilibrium with the internal temperature of the chamber - increase of the time with the Increase in the proportion of cork.
